A wide variety of accessories and options are available for Ortomec harvesters. Different head options, cutting systems, conveyors, etc. allow for efficient harvest of most types of leafy crops, head lettuces, and herbs.
Band Blade Cutting Head
Ortomec is a leading pioneer in leafy crop harvest technology. Their revolutionary band blade system cuts high density crops harvested above soil level to within 1/2-inch of the bed top, and is the standard system for harvesting spring mix, spinach, arugula, etc.
Extendible Harvester Driver Controls
Optional accessory for Ortomec harvester series 9000 and higher.Wired extendible driver controls can be extended up to 20 feet from the driver position for easy harvester maneuvering in tight spaces or areas with reduced visibility. Great for loading/unloading on a transport trailer or lowboy, or when driving into narrow areas like workshops or garages.
Air Jump Systems
Optional accessories for Ortomec harvester series 7200, and higher, excluding series 8400.Air Jump systems are used to filter harvested product before collection into bins, ensuring high quality product.
The front Air Jump forces a steam of air in front of the cutting blade, blowing insects, dust, and lightweight debris off the crop just prior to cutting.
The rear Air Jump is situated before the product belt and forces a stream of air onto cut product just before it is dumped into transport bins. Using Air Jump in conjunction with the Shaker Table further ensures high quality harvested product.
Water Spray System
Optional accessory for Ortomec harvester series 7200 and higher, excluding series 8400.The Water Spray System aids in maintaining freshness of harvested product. A light spray of water mists over the product belt through a system of nozzles that can be mounted wherever you need them.
